A roof over the front entrance of the building will be partially constructed of heavy timber trusses. Due to the intricacies of the heavy timber truss we asked Westridge Construction to provide a “mock-up” of the roof truss. A mock-up is “test run” of a construction assembly or material used to make sure everything will look and function as it is intended. Luckily the common space on the main floor is large enough that the roof truss could be laid out inside the building. Reviewing the truss inside the building was a nice break from the cold!
