The Building

Input Housing has been, literally, a dream under construction, utilizing the talents of SEPW Architecture.  The general contractor is Westridge Construction Ltd .  Construction began in May, 2019 and resident/owners began their transition to condominium living in mid-July, 2020.  All ten condos in the building have now been sold.  We do, certainly, accept questions about our building and our non-profit corporation.  If you want to contact us, please use the contact form on this site, or use e-mail at inputhousingcorp@gmail.com .

The building concept for Input Housing is unique.  The three-storey residence includes ten, owned, private condominium units (second and third floors) as well as a Building Manager suite, an office, and substantial shared amenity space on the main level.

We believe this innovative concept provides privacy and security for each owner/resident and foster independence.  At the same time, each resident feels like a member of a large family. As in any family, the members know, care about, include and accept each other.  Input Housing offers exciting possibilities in the field of housing for people with intellectual disabilities.  It may well become a model for similar housing developments in Saskatchewan and across Canada.

Like any other condo complex, each unit has its own kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom and in-suite laundry. The condos vary in size from approximately 700 sq. ft. to approximately 1015 sq. ft. (two-bedroom).  The common areas include a 12-person full kitchen, dining area, social room and activity area. A two-bedroom suite on the main floor is home to a Building Manager who is responsible for general maintenance and supervision.  An office/sleeping area, with access to a bathroom and shower, is available for outside staff from Creative Options Regina, who provide individualized support for each resident.

The newly-constructed building is fully wheelchair-accessible with elevator and security access.  The building design provides an up to date security system, individual monitoring, sprinkler system, motion controlled outdoor lighting and resident parking.
